Overall, I have been happy with this carseat. I am currently using it rear-facing, belted in with a seatbelt, and it is very sturdy and stable. Rethreading the shoulder harness was not difficult, although moving the crotch strap was just a little trickier. The buckles are strong and easy to use and my son really seems comfortable in this seat.

As a grandmother who babysits five days a week the backseat of my car was taken up by two carseats. When a new baby was expected we checked out new cars with third seats and other options but replacing our car at this time didn't seem the way to go and then I read about the Sunshine Kids Radian65 SL. We decided that since these carseats had very positive reviews we would go this route and I'm very glad that we did. My oldest grandchild is almost six and she had just recently been "promoted" to a booster but she had no problem going back to the harness and my grandson, who just turned five, likes the new seat. Both children say that the seats are comfortable. The new slimmer seats are thin enough to allow the carseat base for the Graco Snugride for my three month old granddaughter. My daughter said that as long as booklet directions are followed installation went fine but don't try to "wing it"!

I have two of these--one for my almost 4 year old (front facing) and one for my 17 month old (rear-facing). They are both working great... stay stable in out van, are a nice slim design and seem very safe and well constructed.
